We are looking for a recreational supervisor to lead and manage the assigned departments of the Tarpon Springs Leisure and Park Department. This position recognises the value of high quality staff and regularly performs human resources, programme and improvement functions related to the overall benefit of the service. The position reviews and recommends the implementation of possible programs, including planning, design, development, implementation and implementation of new programs, services and / or programs.

The ideal candidate has the necessary skills and resources and must have a strong sense of responsibility, creative problem solving skills and an understanding of what can be done. You must work within defined goals and as a work leader ensure that the employees are motivated.


You can specialise in one of these roles, or you could take on a role - in one or more other roles as a part-time or full-time employee.

A small number of posts are part-time, full-time and temporary and the list could be extended. The typical ladder is a mix of full-time, part-time and temporary work with at least three years of work experience.


As a law enforcement officer, you can get through a number of different ranks, which is probably better rewarded. If you have 20 years of experience like your counterpart, your salary will increase by about 30-40%. Applicants for the police and reserve officer must currently have a degree from a Florida Police College or other police college and have passed the state exam. EMT participants who are currently enrolling in the medical school or the fire academy are also encouraged to apply. Florida Statutes 633-34 and 35 authorize the use of the Tarpon Springs Fire & Rescue Fire Department as approved by the Florida Department of Public Safety and Emergency Management. Qualified applicants must meet the requirements of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UMJ) and the Florida Law Enforcement Regulation.


Senior Dispatchers are Certified Instructors (CTO), and the training is as necessary as it is for a Senior Dispatcher with the Tarpon Springs Fire & Rescue Fire Department.

There is also a psychological test to ensure you have the right type of personality to become a police officer. The selection process also has a mental test, called an oral exam, to ensure that prospective officers have what it takes to pass.


If a conviction report indicates that a candidate is unsuitable or desirable for employment in a particular position, information about the conviction may disqualify the applicant. Any applicant who falsifies an application by failing to provide the necessary information about the conviction will be dismissed during his employment.
